Turkish Tuesdays: Sihirli Annem (My Magical Mother): When a Dad Remarries…

I love the themes dealt with, in this show, like blended families (note that the Youtube video has CCs in English (subtitles, actually, obviously) and Turkish…), and having the Closed Captions available makes it easy to go back and read the words that I may miss in Turkish, greatly enhancing the language learning experience:

First, kids may not think as their parents do, when a new marriage approaches.  They may also not say much, directly:  b1SadikUyanmadi

Nope, the kids are not up yet.

Why?

b1uveyAnneIstemiyor

“No, you know the problem, Mr. Sadik, you’re getting married!

The kids do not want a step-mother!”

Oh, this could be a problem, if they think that b1EnKotuGun This is the worst day for them! That’s why Firuze doubts that they even want to get up, much less leave their room!

Hmm, so how will this widowed father deal with his kids, who do not want a new mother in their lives?

Next week we continue with bolum 1 / episode 1, at 2:33 / 59:21: Turkish Tuesdays: Sihirli Annem (My Magical Mother): How Caring Dads Handle Kids… …

Shira

And we looked at the theme song, last week,

Hoşça Kalın!
