Last week, we asked about (ep6:) Turkish Tuesday (Türkçesi salı günü): Sihirli Annem (s1e6) #LanguageLearning vs. Empathy for Stalkers.
This week, we see bölüm/episode 7 (for which I love the opening: Cem and his parents are watching one of the Harry Potter films and you hear “maç başliyor! / the match begins! “) from a fellow blogger (Birgit)’s point of view.

According to the latest gossip among the Fairy families, this is the most up to date, best magical book.
Fairies Dudu and Eda found a modern spell book with the very latest spells. They are still planning to break up Sadik and Betüs.
Eda talks to her father and admits that she does not really care whether they break up Sadik and Betüs or not, she just like the fun of the spells. She is still a bit childlike and cannot grasp the consequences of her doing. She does not listen to her father and tries all kinds of spells from the new book.
The sun is out
Dudu finds out that Sadik needs a necktie that morning to look good for an important meeting and decides to put a spell on a tie and give it to him. It would make him fall in love with the first female he met. They even take care that the housemaid Firuze is caught in traffic, so that she would not be the first one Sadik would meet, because Betüs would never believe that he fell in love with Firuze on his own.
So, this can’t be a coincidence,
Betüş, you see, your mother got me a tie!
Umur, Sadik’s boss comes to pick him up and exchanges ties with him. He is in love with Dudu and wants to wear the tie she bought. So now he is wearing the tie with the spell on and the first woman he meets is Firuze the maid. Dudu has aimed a shot at her own goal. As she doesn’t know that the men exchanged ties, she believes that Umur is just cheating on her.
…be afraid of my menace!
In her blind rage she doesn’t even notice that Umur is wearing the magic tie. She uses her magic to put Umur into the wooden statue in the living room.
In the meantime little Cem’s love life gets complicated, as a friend of his sister will come and visit who was once in love with him. Cem and Ceren make a bet over pocket money, if Deniz, the friend, is still in love with him. Cem says yes, Ceren says no. The same day Tugce, Cem’s girlfriend will come to the house.
Tugce thinks that Cem is looking too much at Deniz and leaves in anger and doesn’t answer Cem’s calls.
Ceren feels pity for her unhappy brother and does not want to take his money, even if he lost the bet. They agree that it was a stupid thing to bet on.
…don’t be sad, I promise, tomorrow, I will talk with Tugce.

For myself I found out that any assumption of why people do or say something can be wrong. It is much better to ask them why they said or did it. Sometimes their way of thinking is so different that one cannot guess even with a lot of goodwill.

Exactly! I’ve learned the same thing (by working in other countries). Yet another reason to give benefit of the doubt, and try to ask questions ‘in that person’s language,’ or “love language” as some like to say.

I had a boss once, we were like from two different planets, always talking on parallel lines. That was a weird experience.
