Mental Health Care In The Breach?

This poem hearkens back to the Brolly Lady Standing in The Gap narrative, linked below the current poem upon which the phrase is based,  (which true life narrative was incorrectly listed as a fiction story in the e-zine that published Brolly Lady last year, but still has not responded to my correction email…) standing in that lonely gap:

untitled

Who will walk with me?

In light, in truth

through blind alleys,

down the dark paths.

Exploring the depths,

plumbing our hearts.

Going forward through fear,

to stand in the gap.

For

someone must stand,

sacrifice, perhaps.

Even rush in,

where angels fear to tred.

Where

is the woman of valor,

courageous and kind,

to stand with me?

I think it still needs a bit of editing, so I can do a little better on this one.  Can’t we all Do Better, for each other?  Can’t we all stand together in the gap?

Let’s Do Better, please, for all of our sake, please.
