Who knew that the Eurasian Journal of Educational Research included articles on my favorite family TV show?!

Some of the findings included cautions, such as:

“Some repeated negative

words like “şapşal damat” could not be used. The sitcom could have advisor/s from

the field of psychology, sociology, and education” to help with the weeding out of one of our favorite problematics in this show? Hmm, I think they went a little bit too far, our researchers, in their criticisms, but the overall impression seems to be that the show is well loved and also found to be useful in modeling good problem-solving ideas and behaviors.

Cool.

(“şapşal damat” is one of Dudu Fairy’s favorite pejoratives for her son(s) in law, and it basically means ‘clutz‘ or ‘dimwit‘ son-in-law…)
