Who By Fire, Scene 44/46 Partial Draft of Final Ordeal

    I was surprised to find myself imagining entire scenes at the end of this novel, before even starting to draft the beginning.  I also made the mistake of trying to plan where my chapters would start and end, which turned out, for me, to be a non-starter.

Who By Fire rough draft,  mostly written in ’20:

– TensionLevel20/20; Final Ordeal=Hero’s last fight w/antag frce & own miscnceptn: IwillBurn; MainScene 29 = Final Ordeal: I. deals/shows that he has dealt with his shame frm not fighting JPM as a kid… Elemental (stupidly?) admits: (since human/’WaterSkins’ already know & P. Wins anyway, it thinks…:); I. Does not need them to get The Flaming Sword: but price is that I. Will burn every time he uses it …

“But only for all of them. Is not my immortal soul worth them all, even the white babies?” The vibration responded with the feeling of disdain, as if, had it been a person, the PrincefkaAngelos was smirking at him:

“At the last, Son of Man, you show well. “

“You will refer to me as Isaiah, if you please.”

     The vibrations became less painful, even feeling respectful, if that were possible.

End of scene:

“Do you not know what that one is?”

      She shook her head, staring blindly.

     “How can you not know what he is? How can you not look at him and know that he is a killer of souls?”

the (1^st?) person he sees killed by a descending ‘angel’ w/sword (Lahat?) is JPM, in flagrant d. starting to molest J.!!(the kid doesn’t see the killing, but does feel relief, & justice is served for both of them, the kid being mostly protected, & I. Gets his revng/justice…). An elemental explains that “your master’s greed made him biddable to us, but your choice has distinguished you from him.”
