Turkish Tuesday Sihirli Annem (My Magical Mom) s1e50: The Letter…

After all of her misdeeds against Eda, and others, time is reset to just before Dudu wreaked her havoc via Time Turning Back, and a letter is left for Dudu to read. That letter is from her other daughter, who was given permission by Perihan to set Dudu’s punishment this time. In the letter Dudu learns (here is the Turkish: “

Bu mektubu sana Gelecekten yolladım Anne.

Sen bu satırları okurken Eda ve Yavuz evleniyor olacak

sakın aklından

düğünü olacak birşey

geçirme!

Çünkü bunu yapmana izin vermeyeceğim…

/ I sent you this letter to your future, Mom. By the time you read this Eda and Yavuz will be married, be warned, don’t even think about trying to stop the wedding, because I will not allow you to do it.” ) that her earlier attempts, 33 days ago, to prevent Eda from marrying the human Yavuz have been spoiled, by her other daughter, Betüş!

Also, if anyone needs me to translate anything more from the Turkish, please comment here with the time notations from the video. In this case, by the way, I translated almost literally, rather than doing a ‘good English’ translation so that anyone looking at the Turkish should be able to see pretty much word for word how I translated, except of course that Turkish syntax is almost the reverse of English, and the verb often comes before the subject, but anyone who is learning Turkish will already know that.

    1. It is: I had already written and scheduled the Yabanci Damat post weeks ago, and so I decided to add this one for today since I had the three posts for episode 50 scheduled for next week. This will hopefully give anyone who wants to watch the episode a bit of a teaser and help before the reviews post next week.

  1. Hi, Shira, the episode 50 post is set to be published next week Tuesday (27.08.). I tried to publish it now, but I cannot, it has something to do with the category.

Thanks for the translation of the letter!

    1. Hi, Bigit: I scheduled your post for the 27th so as not to be in conflict with today’s Yabanci Damat review, sorry I neglected to mention that. Bot of our reviews will post on the 27th (and you can directly publish if it is a draft, but not if it is scheduled, in which case you have to change it to a draft and then you can publish, or simply change the scheduled time and date from within the edit menu).
