Minbari Mondays, Two Lessons ” Into The Fire” (B5:s4e6) Teaches On Sacrifice

1.) Non-cooperation with your exploiters requires vast cooperation with your allies, and

2.) Even an arrogant one like Londo can be capable of self-sacrifice

Sorry to gloat, but I have to, even after Londo’s shocking behavior.  Nearly two years later, Vir finally gets his wish!!

After refusing to die for one false dichotomy version or another “of the truth,” Delenn leads the way:

“Now, we build the future.”

Last Monday’s review was s4e5: Minbari Mondays, A Lesson From “The Long Night” (B5:s4e5) On Strength ,

and then

Next Minbari Monday will review: s4e7; Minbari Mondays, ” Epiphanies” (B5:s4e7) & Loose Ends, or, “Attention To Detail”

Can we learn, ourselves, to show such cooperation and, if necessary, self-sacrifice?

    We can Do Better.

Nih sakh sh’lekk, sleem wa.

I come in peace, I am your friend.

Action Prompts:

1.)  Share your thoughts on how we Human Beings might start to build a more fully inclusive society for all of us, and how this episode of Babylon 5 could help that process.

2.) Write a book, story, post or tweet that uses these thoughts.

    1. The choice to work for The Shadows, presumably.

I’ll have to see if my library has a copy of “The Shadow Within” once I have found at least one other person to help with Project Do Better.
