Quick update: Voting in California

Just got this email (last night) from the California Assemblymember Todd Gloria:

Telephone Town Hall on Safe Elections and Voting by Mail Every California voter will receive a mail-in ballot this year. With the November election just around the corner, many residents are planning to cast their vote by mail for the first time.  I know that you may have questions about the vote-by-mail process, in-person voting options, and the safety and reliability of the system.

That is why I would like to invite you to join me for a telephone town hall on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. with San Diego County Registrar of Voters, Michael Vu.  We will cover the safety and reliability of our voting system, as well as what safeguards are in place to prevent voter fraud and to ensure that every vote is properly counted.

We will also be answering your questions. I invite you to submit any questions you have about the (elections system) by simply replying to this e-mail. Please submit questions no later than Monday, September 21 at 12:00 p.m.”

Happy New Year,

May we all be written in the Book of Life,

Shira
